Common Mistakes when searching for Property Overseas
I'll look round when I'm on holiday
It makes sense to find a property and get a great holiday at the same time, but when you've hit the beach do you honestly think you'll want to leave it to look at property? In all likelihood you'll find better things to do than find a house - swim in the Aegean, watch the sunset from the bar, sleep!
Buying property is one of the most important decisions you'll make, so it makes sense to give it your full focus.
An Inspection Visit is like a business trip (but a lot more fun). It ensures you concentrate on the job in hand and make the right decision.
I'll take a look before I'm ready to buy
Window shopping is as fun as real shopping, except when it comes to purchasing property overseas. The drawback is - you're going to fall in love.Property gets snapped up in an instant, so it's best not to risk a broken heart and waste your time looking at property that won't be available when you want it. Only look when you're ready to make the jump.
I'll go on a group property tour
Group tours are great ways to meet new people, but people are different, they don't want the same things.Who wants to spend hours looking at apartments when they want a villa? We prefer one to one Inspection Visits because we find it's the best way to take you to places we're confident you'll like.
That said, we will arrange a group tour if you want one and we'll arrange for you to meet local expats if you want to get an inside opinion of the Turkish lifestyle.
